The sanctuary of Zeus Ammon in the Siwa oasis of the Libyan desert was already famous when Alexander the Great made a pilgrimage there in 331 BCE. Legend has it that the young king was proclaimed the son of Zeus Ammon by the oracle. The original Roman bust of the god combines the ram's horns of the Egyptian Amun with the classical Greek representation of a bearded Zeus. It is believed that the sculpture may have been created in Egypt in the years following Alexander's visit to Siwa. This serene reinterpretation has been meticulously hand-carved in marble, which offers beautiful variations in color and natural veins.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Eichholtz by Clue","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47235684761924,"sku":"TM0042","price":8980.0,"currency_code":"PLN","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0249\/6544\/7735\/files\/TM0042_0_1_1.webp?v=1697712060","url":"https:\/\/clue-studio.pl\/en\/products\/dekoracja-eichholtz-zeus","provider":"Eichholtz by Clue","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
